If you choose to use your mobile device as your login, you must first download and install the MyID app.

Once verified, your Digital ID can be used for both Government Services and Businesses.

Digital ID is available by invite only as we conduct a few pilot projects. Once we expand, the service will be made available to all residents of New Brunswick. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, parent or guardian consent will be required for each person under the age of 18.

With a Digital ID, you will be ready to access new and exciting services from government and businesses in New Brunswick that let you step out of the line and conveniently access services online.

Once verified, your MyID can be used for both Government Services and Businesses that have integrated their services with Digital ID. For now the services available are limited to a few pilot projects, but there are plans to expand soon and make New Brunswick the first Digital Society in North America.

With your New Brunswick Digital ID, you decide how you wish to Login when accessing a Digital Service. You can choose an existing account from a login partner such as SecureKey Concierge to use your online banking account and other popular identity providers. For a secure and password-free experience, you can also use your mobile device to Login. If you can’t decide that’s ok since you can link more than one Login to your Digital ID.

You can request identity verification online with your New Brunswick driver’s license or photo ID so long as the address printed on your card is your current address. You’ll receive a verification code in the mail within 5-10 days that you can enter the next time you access MyID.

In-person verification is optional. Special workshops will be scheduled with the pilot project to give citizens the opportunity to verify their identity in-person as required. Once we expand, New Brunswickers over the age of 18 can verify their identity for Digital ID the next time they visit a Service New Brunswick Centre.

Services that provide access to very sensitive information (e.g. health records) may need you to login with your mobile device for your safety and security.

Services that provide access to personal information will need you to choose a login you trust and are in control of. SecureKey Concierge provides a secure service that lets you login with your bank or credit union account. Your financial and banking information will not be disclosed to the Government of New Brunswick, and the institution will not know which government service you are using.

Services that provide access to personal information will need you to choose a login you trust and are in control of. Facebook and Google are trusted by millions of citizens worldwide and have demonstrated secure practices for securing the identity you use to access their services. No personal information from your account will be shared with the Government of New Brunswick, and the company will not know which government service you are using.
