Digital ID provides citizens with a single, secure online identity to access government services
through the following services:

  • Full-lifecycle online digital identity management services including registration, identify verification, entitlement (i.e. program specific IDs) verification, login, recovery and termination.
  • In-person option for digital identity verification at a Service New Brunswick service centre and other locations as necessary.
  • Common user experience and consent framework for sharing verified identity and accessing Digital Services that support Digital ID
  • Free mobile application (iOS and Android) for highly secure login and identity verification.
  • Access to general Information and technical support for Digital ID and Integrated services provided by Service Centres and Service Desk

 


Digital ID enables government (and future private sector) partners to build new and agile digital services
that would normally require citizens to prove identity in-person by providing the following services:

  • Strategies and information regarding the future direction of Digital Identity in Canada, monitors the development of digital Identity standards, policies and trust frameworks by government and private sector organizations across New Brunswick.
  • Common identity and access management solution with strategic integrations with credential providers, authoritative identity providers, client registries (i.e. master person indexes), and future citizen and business registries.
  • Prototyping, working examples, and development frameworks designed accelerate development and adoption of Digital ID.
  • Validating new/existing service integration requirements, determining  each service’s pan-Canadian trust framework identity and credential level of assurance requirements, facilitating the services’ integration to Digital ID with OIDC or SAML, Custom Integrations/Migrations, and ensuring quality control processes are followed.
